Namibia gained its independence in 1990. Before that it was a Southafrican protectorate, mandated to govern it by the (now) United Nations after the first world war. 30 years of german colonization leave visible traces, even today. And before that time it was home to nomads and settlers and for a short time crossed only by white missionaries. Even the portuguese seafarers avoided this inhospitable coastline. Research has found that pastoral nomads changed between nomadism and pastoralism for more than 5 000 years, their type of culture dictated by the weather. Namibia has the third-lowest population density in the world. And still one of the best infrastructures in sub-saharan Africa.

Courses in Reflexotherapy are held mainly in Swakopmund. Where the need arises and sufficient participants come together courses are also held on site.

Swakopmund is a town situated centrally on the coastline, 40km north of Walvis Bay, the only other deep harbour on the namibian coastline apart from Lüderitzbucht. With approximately 30 000 inhabitants Swakopmund is a large town in Namibia, Windhoek, its capital has only about 120 000 - 180 000 (no census is held inNamibia), about one tenth of the total population. Swakopmund is a holiday town and still shows many german influences. The Brauhaus is a popular restaurant in mid-city and The Grapevine offers a delectable mix of german / namibian cuisine and wine tasting.



Reflexotherapy  courses are offered in a hall in a building visible to your left as you cross over the railway bridge coming from Windhoek. Just turn left, left and left again and you can park safely on site.

If you want to treat your feet to something good the desert is but 10 minutes away.
